Jordan Gottheim Esq.

Jordan Gottheim is a member of the bar in New York, New Jersey, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Since joining Smith & Associates in 2017, Jordan has been instrumental in enabling several of our defendant clients to settle lawsuits at nuisance value or below.

Jordan previously served as a content editor for LexisNexis’s Lexis Practice Advisor Labor & Employment Law module. That role provided Jordan with extraordinary legal drafting and research skills that he now uses in helping devise and implement client strategy through transactional documents and litigation.

Jordan Gottheim received a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. While a student at Fordham, he served as an article sourcing editor for the Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law and, on behalf of Lincoln Square Legal Services, represented low-income taxpayers in disputes with the IRS and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. He served as judicial intern to the Hon. Gerald Lebovits, during which time he advised Justice Lebovits on the disposition of pending motions. He also wrote the decision in Liberty Seguros v. Fagioli, a high-stakes insurance subrogation case. Jordan’s experience in the judge’s chambers helped make him a strong, persuasive advocate for our clients’ interests before courts and in negotiations with adversaries.
