Mark Eichler is a highly experienced attorney specializing in United States federal income tax matters.  Mark advises clients on the tax implications of a broad range of commercial transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, bankruptcy reorganizations, equity and debt issuances, real estate investments and life insurance investments and assists clients with structuring tax-free like-kind exchanges.  Mark also has extensive experience counseling clients on the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies, S corporations and real estate investment trusts and on the classification and taxation of complex equity derivative instruments.

Mark graduated, cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 1996.  After graduation, Mark worked at Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy and then spent eleven years in the tax department at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, most recently as a Special Counsel.  Mark is admitted to the bar in the State of New York.
